Artist Profile

Successfully Completed

The BYMIC project helped young instrumental musicians aged 8-18 to succeed at the highest international performance level in classical music by giving them the necessary confidence and focus needed to strengthen their experience and refine their artistry. The project offered a specific training programme with increased concert activities and masterclasses with teachers from all over the world who have achieved international success on their particular instrument. The project gave young musicians the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of what is involved on the international arena, how the industry works, and what agents, organisers and managers expect. At the same time, the musical life in the region also gained substantial benefit, as increased musical activity took place and a higher musical standard was achieved. Master classes with young musicians from Latvia and Sweden enabled them to work intimately with world-class performers.

How to get involved?

There are a number of ways to get involved in the project. If you are a musician from Latvia or Sweden between the ages of 8-18 you can apply to take part in project activities. This will involve sending in an audition recording, or where possible we will come and hear you in person. You don't need to be the best musician in the world, although some basic previous training is required; we are looking for people who are enthusiastic, with lots of energy and who like a challenge.

If you are a music teacher who is interested in teaching on the programme, or would like to send some of your students to participate in programme activities we would also be very interested in hearing from you.

Send us a message on our contact form and we will get back to you straight away. You can also call us on the following number: 00 46 725 353 359.
